how to hack your hormones for a happy brain

Hormones run our lives. To an extent, they decide how we’re going to think, feel, and act on any given day. The good news is, we can hack them to help us lead happier, healthier lives. That being said, let’s get into it. Here’s how to hack your hormones for a happy brain.

what are hormones?

While the human body has over 50 hormones, there are four main ones that directly influence our moods and energy levels. These hormones are dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin, and endorphins.

self-care

Living in a mind and knowledge-centered society, it’s easy to spend most of our time in our heads, but we have to remember we’re in a body. We need to take care of our bodies like we would a plant, a pet, or a baby. I personally find that this mental separation makes it easier for me to take care of my body in a loving, unconditional way.

In other words, we’re like a plant in the sense that it’s the simplest things that make us feel better. Some cold water, sunlight, fresh air, and it’s like we’re a new person. We just seem to forget how simple it can be.
