Fall is such a beautiful season, making it one of the easiest to romanticize. I love the art of romanticizing life year-round. I love being intentional with my time, enjoying every moment, and purposely making the most of life’s changes. It makes life fun; it makes life worthwhile.
Here are some of the things I’m looking forward to doing this fall, to soak it all in and romanticize the season to the fullest.
get outside
— Soak in the fresh, crisp air and enjoy the beauty of the warm colors all around
— Take hikes, collect pretty leaves, and explore new nature spots
make a bucket list
— Decide what you want to experience this season
— Think food, music, movies, tv shows, outdoorsy stuff, social outings, books, decorations
— Use Pinterest for inspiration
cook seasonal foods
— This is the time for warm, soothing, comforting, and nourishing foods
— Think tomato basil soup, roasted sweet potato, freshly baked bread, casseroles
bake fall desserts
— Make apple pie, pumpkin muffins with cream cheese frosting, ghost-shaped sugar cookies
— Listen to music, fuel your inner child, and have fun
make a fall playlist
— Create a music playlist that perfectly encapsulates the feeling of fall for you
— Or check out this playlist on Spotify
plan cute outfits
— Thrift for quirky sweaters, plaid skirts, and Converse
— Buy some tights and cute fall-themed socks
— Plan some cute hairstyles that feel dreamy and girly
read fall-themed books
— Read books centered around witches, vampires, and ghosts
— Enjoy reading outside under a tree, in a local library, or in a cozy cafe
decorate your space
— Fill your space with pumpkins, ghosts, and candy corn
— Go ahead and prepare for Halloween with candy and spooky decorations
watch autumn movies and tv shows
— Watch movies and shows centered around the supernatural or simply just set in the season of fall
— Here are my lists of classic fall movies and tv shows to watch
cafes & libraries
— Spend days in cafes and libraries, reading, and sipping chai lattes
— Enjoy being out of the house and the comforting noise of conversations all around
study
— Academia is so inherently fall, it’s the perfect time to study
— Even if you’re not in school, online courses are so fun and you get to study exactly how you want to
