
Every month during my monthly reset routine, I like to journal and reflect on the past month, as well as set intentions for the new month. Here are my journal prompts for a new month.
what did I enjoy this past month?
Think about your favorite moments from this past month. What did you have fun doing? What felt aligned with who you are and who you want to be?
Think about the things that made you the happiest. What lit you up inside? What made you excited to be alive?
Think about what you want to keep in the upcoming month.
what could be better?
Think about things you didn’t enjoy this past month. Was there anything you didn’t like? What do you want to leave in the past?
By getting clear on what you want to leave in the past, you can start fresh in the new month.
what did I learn?
Think about the lessons from this past month. What did you learn? How can you improve in the next month?
Do you feel as though you’re moving in the direction you want to be? How can you show up better for yourself?
what are my goals for next month?
After you’ve reflected on where you’re currently at, plan your goals for the upcoming month. What do you want to accomplish?
Think of goals for different areas of your life. This can be in terms of health, work, relationships, self-improvement, exercise, etc.
what is something new I want to try this month?
Think of something new you’d like to try this coming month. A new month is an amazing time to set your intentions and try new things.
It can be as small as trying a new recipe or as big as traveling to a new country. Pick something you’ve been wanting to try for a while. Just go for it!
